Request a public record
Ask for a township record under the Open Public Records Act.
- Who can do this
- Anyone. You do not have to say why you want the record.
- What it costs
- No charge for the first 10 pages. After that, 5 cents per letter size page.
- How long it takes
- The township answers within 7 business days. A large request may take longer, and you are told why.
What to have ready
- A description of the record you want
- A date range, if you know it
- An email address or postal address for the reply
Steps
- Describe the record as closely as you can. A date range helps.
- Submit the request in writing. Email is accepted.
- You get an acknowledgement with a request number.
- The township replies within 7 business days.
- If the request is denied, the reply says why and how to appeal.

This service is provided by Township Clerk. You do not need to contact them to complete the steps above.
