- Anyone. You do not have to live in the township to sign up.
- What it costs
- Free. Your mobile carrier may charge for text messages.
- How long it takes
- Signing up takes about 5 minutes. The first notice reaches you the same day.
What to have ready
- A mobile number, an email address, or both
- The street address you want notices about
- A second contact for someone who does not use a phone, if you are signing up on their behalf
Steps
- Choose how you want to be reached. Text, email, and recorded phone call are each available on their own.
- Give the street address you want notices about. Collection and street closure notices are sent by zone.
- Choose which notices you want. Emergency notices are sent to everyone and cannot be turned off.
- Confirm the code sent to your phone or email.
- Change or cancel at any time by calling the Clerk during office hours.
Who handles this
This service is provided by Fire and OEM. You do not need to contact them to complete the steps above.
